Hello, I’m Nathaniel Shaw, but please, call me Nate.

If you live in Penbrook Borough, there’s a good chance we’ve already crossed paths. You’ve probably seen me and my black lab, Clementine, on one of our frequent walks through the neighborhood. For me, those walks are more than just exercise; they’re a chance to connect with the people who make this community so special. Stopping to chat, listening to your thoughts, and learning what’s on your mind is genuinely the best part of my day.

My commitment to our community is at the heart of everything I do. Since 2016, I’ve had the honor of serving as an elected council person. This role has allowed me to dive deeper into the workings of our borough, chairing the Public Works committee and serving on the Community & Government and Technology committees. I also volunteer my time as the treasurer for the Storm Water Authority board and as a member of the Penbrook EMA and Ham radio ARES communications teams. I believe that being involved is the best way to help find practical solutions for the issues that matter most to you.

When I’m not at a council meeting or out walking Clementine, you can usually find me in my garage, tinkering with a piece of history. I have a passion for antique vehicles, and each one tells a story.

  • My 1929 Dodge Brothers Sedan is a beautiful reminder of classic automotive craftsmanship.
  • My 1941 Dodge Truck is a true family heirloom. It’s the same truck my grandfather used to haul materials to build his garage over 50 years ago. Finishing its restoration feels like preserving a piece of my own history.
  • And my most cherished project is a 1954 Volkswagen Beetle. This was my mother’s car, the one she drove long before I was born. It needs the most work, but it means the most to me.

These projects are about more than just mechanics; they’re about honoring the past and building something for the future. I feel the same way about our community.

I am always here to listen. Whether you see me on the street, at a local event, or need to discuss a borough-related issue, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can continue to make Penbrook a wonderful place to call home.
